With the support of Prof. Oliver Kretschmar, Children&#8217;s Hospital Zurich, a catheter-based pulmonary valve implantation was successfully performed in a 28-year-old patient (Jerry) with a severe congenital heart defect from Madagascar. Due to the patient&#8217;s low socio-economic status, it would have been impossible to treat him in the normal way (as is the norm for us in Switzerland). Both Jerry and the whole family were overjoyed after the successful operation and would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the HerzKlinik. We would like to thank the HeartClinic Foundation for making this treatment possible.
